Recently, I had the pleasure of doing a maternity photoshoot in Dunville for a family who wanted to document this special time before their new addition arrived.
Their goal was to create a lasting memory of their family as it is right now.
A Perfect Beach Family Photoshoot
For this beach family photoshoot, we headed to a stunning, peaceful beach near Dunville. This spot is one of my personal favourites.
The gentle waves, the soft sand, and the incredible sunsets make it the perfect backdrop for a family beach session.
The natural light here is simply breathtaking, and it helped us create warm, glowing images that truly captured the family's joy.
The relaxed atmosphere of the location allowed everyone to be themselves, which is exactlywhat we needed.
Candid Family Photos
Instead of formal poses for family portraits, we focused on candid family photos.
We wanted to capture the genuine emotions and connections between them.
This meant capturing little moments like a dad dancing with his daughter, a son's hand on her mom's pregnant belly, and the whole family sharing a laugh as they walked along the water's edge.
These unposed moments are often the most meaningful and authentic. The goal of this beach family maternity photos session was to document their genuine love and happiness.
Creating a Storybook
After the session, we created a "Storybook" photo album. This wasn't just a standard collection of pictures; it was a way of telling the story of that day. With this unique photo album keepsake, the family now has a beautifully designed heirloom that they can flip through for years to come.
The Storybook album design turned their fleeting family moments into a tangible narrative, something they can share with their new baby someday.
