Aurora Dog Pop-Up
I spent the day at The Social Pup in Aurora for a special community pop-up event supporting local rescue work.
As a pet photographer who believes pets are family, being part of something that brings people and their dogs together always feels meaningful.
This event was focused on raising money for Don't Furry Be Happy, celebrating the dogs who showed up and meeting the Social Pup Community.

Dog Rescue Fundraiser
This pop-up was held to raise funds for Don't Furry Be Happy, an incredible rescue doing work that truly matters.
And yes — every single dollar raised went directly to the rescue.
No percentages. No deductions.
Just full support for a local organization helping pets who need it most.
Supporting rescue work is important to me, and being able to contribute through meaningful dog photos felt like the right way to help.

Aurora Pet Photographer
As a pet photographer, I joined this event because giving back through my work matters to me. Dogs aren't just pets — they're part of our story, part of our family, and part of the moments we want to hold onto.
My role at the event was simple: offer a calm, guided pet photography session for every dog who walked in.
No pressure. No complicated posing. Just a relaxed experience that lets each dog's personality come through naturally.

Dog Photoshoot Experience
Each dog received a short, easy-going dog photo shoot. Some were shy, some were energetic, some were total characters — and every single one was wonderful.
I take a patient, pet-led approach to dog portraits:
• Breaks when needed
• Gentle direction
• A calm environment
• Space for each dog to feel comfortable
Whether the dog is confident, anxious, or anything in between, I always focus on creating a safe, relaxed experience.

Aurora Dog Community
Throughout the day, I met so many dog-loving families from Aurora.
The atmosphere at The Social Pup made it easy for people to stop in, share stories, and show support for the rescue.
Connecting with new dog owners, hearing about their pups, and being part of a positive community event felt genuinely rewarding.
Next Dog Pop-Up
If you enjoy supporting rescue organizations and want to be part of future pop-up sessions, I'll be sharing new dates as they come up.
These events are a relaxed way to get updated pet photos while helping animals in care.
